Project SEARCH is a one-year, school-based transition program designed for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program occurs on-site at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly and provides an intensive final school year of career exploration, hands-on internship experience, and individualized support to help participants successfully transition into adulthood and competitive employment.

Interns work alongside a certified special education teacher and skilled job coaches, who collaborate with department staff to deliver instruction, model workplace strategies, support individual learning needs, and monitor progress throughout the year. Other collaborative partners include the New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) and the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
