    OUR MISSION

    To enable each student to reach his/her full potential through academic, 

     vocational, and therapeutic programs adapted to student’s unique needs and abilities.

    Transitions at BCSSSD is designed for students with disabilities between the ages of 18 and 21.  At the transition level, instruction focuses on Career Awareness, Career Exploration, Community Living, and Recreation.  The Transition Team practices Person-Centered Thinking and Planning in which each student's values, gifts, strengths, and abilities are identified and embraced within authentic community environments.   

    Transitions at BCSSSD offers many programs to meet the needs of students with special needs.  

    Transitions at BCSSSD has four programs to offer our young adults based upon their interests, desires and needs: 

    ATTAIN, ACCESS, ASPIRE and ACHIEVE 

    ATTAIN   (Advance Training Through Abilities, Interests and Needs) 

    ACCESS  (Advocacy, Community, Career Exploration and Social Skills) 

    ASPIRE   (Acquiring Social, Professional, Individualized Real Life Experiences)  

    ACHIEVE (Attitude & Commitment for Higher Education with Vocational Experience)
