     Dr. Dana Rosen

    Dr. Dana Rosen is the Supervisor of Education on the Elementary Campus.  

    Dr. Dana Rosen has been with us since 2017 as the district reading specialist, where she implemented a variety of programs and resources across all campuses. Dr. Rosen completed her masters and doctorate in literacy education from Rutgers University and a second masters in teacher leadership from Rowan University. She holds certifications in Elementary Education, Supervision, ESL, TOSD and Reading. Dr. Rosen has twenty years of expertise as a supervisor, reading specialist, elementary school teacher and college instructor. She is also published and taught in Germany for a year.   

    Dr. Rosen is an active member of several educational research organizations, including the American Education Research Association, (AERA), the International Literacy Association (ILA), Literacy Research Association (LRA), National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) and the National Education Association (NEA).  Her research focuses on the language and literacy development in diverse families, and she has pursued her interest in finding what types of literacy practices exist among students of immigrant families by taking a deep look into their literacy practices, purposes for literacy, and cultural values. She has presented her research at several conferences across the country and continues to look for more ways to expand her studies and professional networks.
