Bake Shop students participate in a weekly pastry shop. They prepare desserts and pastries to be sold to the public each week. Students are taught:
- Quantity measurements, recipe interpretation, baking, sales and service techniques
- How to follow kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines in a commercial kitchen
- How to use, operate and care for hand tools, equipment and machines
- Production of pies, cookies, cakes, muffins
- Finishing and cake decorating
- Customer service and cash register operation
