Bake Shop


    Bake Shop students participate in a weekly pastry shop. They prepare desserts and pastries to be sold to the public each week. Students are taught:

    • Quantity measurements, recipe interpretation, baking, sales and service techniques
    • How to follow kitchen safety and sanitation guidelines in a commercial kitchen
    • How to use, operate and care for hand tools, equipment and machines
    • Production of pies, cookies, cakes, muffins
    • Finishing and cake decorating
    • Customer service and cash register operation
