Mary Jean Kneringer, M.Ed, BCBA

    Ms. Kneringer was born and raised in South Jersey and has resided in Hainesport Township for the last 20 years. She completed her bachelor's degree at Rowan University receiving both Teacher of the Handicap and Teacher of Reading certificates. She then went to Temple University and completed a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis.  During this time, she also received a national certificate as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and was published on two occasions in leading Journals.  Ms. Kneringer then completed her supervisor certification at Rowan University and then her Principal certification through New Jersey’s Leader to Leader Program.

    After five years in a classroom teaching middle school students, Ms. Kneringer ventured into an administrative position at Bancroft, a school and residential program, for another twelve years. There she directed and managed programs, personnel, and an eleven million dollar budget. Ms. Kneringer returned back to the education field as a classroom teacher at the Mary A. Dobbins School in Mount Holly for the next two years as she and her husband started their family.  She then joined the Educational Services Unit (ESU) as a consultant for public school services for one year before accepting an administrative position as the Supervisor of Education for the ESU's Autism and ABA Services Department and Public Behavioral Services.  Ms. Kneringer remained there for four years until the program dissolved and was then transferred to supervise the ESU’s Related Services Department for the next three years.  Ms. Kneringer was promoted as the Child Study Team Director of BCSSSD for one year and then transferred to the position of Building Principal of the Lumberton Campus of BCSSSD where she remains today.

    Ms. Kneringer has been an active community and school volunteer in her hometown. Her involvement has included Special Olympics, foster care services, CCD teacher, and many awareness events. Ms. Kneringer also serves as a member of the Hainesport Board of Education since 2012 and the Board’s Vice President since 2013.

    Ms. Kneringer is married to her husband, Bob, and has two daughters. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, loves to read and travel.

    Ms. Kneringer's philosophy of education is to help each student grow academically, socially and morally.  She believes each student shall be treated as an individual while respecting  each student's differences in personalities and learning styles.  Her goal is to support the growth of the student to become an active and productive citizen while supporting each student in career and/or college readiness.
