-
BCSSSD offers comprehensive programs for students ages 3 to 21 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our programs are built on evidence-based, research-driven instructional approaches. We use a diverse, mutilevel approach targeting the specific needs and challenges faced by students with autism. Our data-driven, evidence-based program is built on the following foundations:
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Verbal behavior
- Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
- Clinical meetings
- Social skills
- Low student-to-staff ratio
- Transition skills development
- Visually-based communications aids
Students receive therapeutic services according to their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Students enrolled in the Autism Program have the opportunity to participate in aquatics, art education, music education, physical education, visual & performing arts, and vocational shops.
