BCSSSD District Goals 2021-22

    1. By the end of the year, a minimum of eighty-five percent (85%) of the staff will be trained in issues of student mental health, trauma-informed practices, and SEL interventions for a minimum of 5 hours of professional development. Implementation of new programs and resources will include, but are not limited to Character Education and Positive School Climate Training, Tri-State Therapy Dog Support Sessions, Zones of Regulation, Healing Center Engagement Program, Crisis Team Subcommittees and BCPDI Training workshops.

    2. By the end of the 2021-2022 school year, one hundred percent (100%) of the BCSSSD CTE and Academic faculty and staff will participate in one of the professional development experiences such as ICEVR, Career Safe, Cengage Mindtap, or CTE Cluster specific training and professional development experiences to enhance virtual and hybrid student learning opportunities and the successful completion of work-based learning experiences for all BCSSSD program completers.

    3. The successful implementation of two essential focal points involving all buildings shall be the strategic plan for enrollment and the rebranding effort and shall result in increased enrollment while building upon increased parental satisfaction.

    4. To support the professional development plan of staff where at least seventy-five percent (75%) of staff will be trained in Equity and Diversity and the development of an understanding and application to professional practice of cultural competencies while promoting equity champions where possible among the student population.

    5. The CST case managers and related services therapists and teachers will remain up-to-date on matters of compliance, documentation, student progress monitoring, including but not limited goal writing, behavior tracking and incident reporting after participating in a minimum of five (5) completed professional development hours.
