Our young adults who have a strong interest in Food Service, Auto Detailing, Custodial Maintenance or Agricultural Science also known as Horticultural may have an opportunity to be placed in one of these Career and Technical Education shops (CTE) to further hone or explore skills in the areas of interest.
These shops may be offered to our young adults to develop specific job skills, experience different tasks within the shop and to learn to work in a work environment with others. Based upon student interests, these CTE experiences may be a training opportunity prior to being placed in a Structured Learning Experiences (SLE) in an unpaid or paid positions to further hone skills for success. Other young adults may have an opportunity for one of these CTE shops to provide further training to support their independence in daily living and or leisure skills. These placements are generally for two marking periods or one school year.
